Batiste is a semi-sheer cotton fabric that is perfect for heirloom sewing, lingerie and blouses to be worn with a cami.
Bearissima batiste is made in Switzerland exclusively for Bear Threads Ltd,
Bearissima I has what Bear Threads, Ltd. calls a Super Silk finish. This is a permanent finish that gives a very soft hand and a nice sheen and as the Swiss say more “crease resistance”.
The 140cm (55.118”) width gives 25% more fabric per lineal yd. than 112cm (44.094”) width. In most cases where 2.5yds of 112cm would be needed 2yds of 140cm will do.
This fabric is new off the bolt.
